The gameplay is incredibly predictable, with very little to do in each scene. Love being able to actually help solve the crimes. Family Mysteries: Poisonous Promises could have been a thrilling mystery, but was let down by lifeless production and uninspired gameplay. Fantastic to have a game that has a solid story-line to keep you engaged along with excellent graphics, HOPS, puzzles and even the music, everything about this game makes you feel part of it - that's real game heaven. It is filled with cookie-cutter tasks and even the puzzles fail to entertain. So, I recommend this game. The artwork is amazing with crisp and clear results. Some are dark which I can see they want to make it harder. The main voice actor in the bonus game got the Capt. I completed Family Mysteries: Poisonous Promises within three and a half hours that passed by slower than they should. This is not a new theme or a new concept but it's well done and do the job. But, to make it so you must use your detective skills as well as your cell phone, to collect all the evidence so you can analyze them and from that deduce your next step in the investigation. Despite Family Mysteries: Poisonous Promises not being the most original who-dun-it mystery to ever exist, there is still plenty of intrigue and suspense to enjoy. There is couple minor things that I thought were not good. Definite buy.

It was nice to play a detective game that wasn't full of dark, brooding, ominous scenes that drip with the supernatural. There is a strange case of drowning and there's a mystery to be discovered hidden behind the dead body and the secrets of the victim's family. Very good voice overs. The game is long and entertaining with a good bonus story prequel.

  10. It is exciting to finally see them branching out to produce games that are more grounded in reality, specifically the who-dun-it genre which is one of my personal favorites. Exactly what i want in a Who done it mystery. The gameplay is incredibly predictable, with very little to do in each scene.

Also, there's a new type of HO scenes - where you can deduce - by searching for the clues, what happened to the victims and to the suspects. Couple of the puzzles were hard to figure out but that is me most likely.
