The HOP scenes are the best part of the game.

Firsttime reviewer but i couldn't go past this one - this is the worse game - i have the Enjoy the Shopping, Fellow Trevaler and the Tall Man - and this game is nothing like the others. 1. It is mildly spooky fare for the fall season. I realize now just what a good game Fellow Traveler is now. Decent fun factor and interest, but falls well short of prior entries in series.

  2. As usual, I review mostly on the game play and leave the story to others to tell. Sorry not to sure what to say but a good game with a discount. The story line was so thin, puzzles needed more detail. Navigate a sewer.

  3. Hint system is helpful and we do have the transport feature for longer locations. The characters were interesting and the VOs well done. You must push them to the proper locations and avoid obstacles blocking your path. Possible spoiler: The first was after I collected the herbs in the green house of the psychic. Good luck, Rick!

  4. Rick Rogers has foreseen the unseen and explained the unexplainable but can he rid an entire town of their ghostly ghouls, one of which has a deadly right-hook? You are constantly on the move and there is enough challenge in the puzzles and collectibles to keep you interested. If I find a game engaging I will play the puzzles but I skipped most of them. You can replay it if you want to. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by catsgranny from Rick Rogers is Back!

  5. Animation is fairly smooth. Select directional arrows to move map pieces into place, using other pieces to stop the continuous movement. Happy gaming! There was nothing that seemed compelling enough to make me care what happens to the characters.

  6. The story is so boring that I don't care about the towns people, rick or the town and what happens to all of them. Sound FX are well done and move in and out with whatever is happening at the time. Now, at least with the larger amounts of inventory items some of the challenge has returned. Voices were age and character appropriate, except I felt that Mr.

  7. I felt the story was quite satisfactory. You can click through the dialog without missing any clues or additional useful objects. You then proceed to break a door handle off the evidence room, knock things off of shelves, and climb in and out of that window repeatedly.

  8. The morphing objects are puzzles pieces for a jigsaw puzzle played at the end of the game to create a screensaver. And when you come back to it with a bowl, you will dig up some rope - with a marsupial buried in the hole with the rope! If I find a game engaging I will play the puzzles but I skipped most of them. I found none of them difficult, and all are ones seen in other games. The tasks were quite frankly an offense to one's intelligence.

  9. There are a few Elephant Eggs available in this fourth installment of Paranormal Files. Which I like. Yes graphics are great, colorful where needed and drab where needed but it doesn't save the game.

  10. I counted them as one complete puzzle. I would have liked to have a replay of the video clips. However, The Hook Man's Legend recaptured Rick's wry humor and clever wit bringing that element to the Paranormal Files games that makes it stand out from the dreary cookie-cutter HOGs that seem to have become the norm.

  11. Would rather play this than other games. I like this series, so yes, I am adding to my CE collection. I enjoyed the way the story unfolded and soon found myself so interested that I kept wanting to learn more about The Hook Man.

  12. Items are not difficult to find and the scenes pretty clear. I found this a decent game. However not everything in this game made sense to me or was accurate. Time will be of the essence in this case in more ways than one!

  13. The morphing objects are puzzles pieces for a jigsaw puzzle played at the end of the game to create a screensaver. We have eye silhouettes that are well blended into the background and not easy to spot. You fix a "mouse trap" in the garden of Karen's grandmother's house. I enjoyed the way the story unfolded and soon found myself so interested that I kept wanting to learn more about The Hook Man.

  14. Now this one is more like it! The mini-games were the perfect level of difficulty for me, especially with the option to choose between Easy and Hard. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games I enjoyed throughout the game:? The beginning puzzles has multiple steps and I wouldn't play them without the guide. Bottom line: This new Paranormal Files game is definitely better than the last one; it's just not really compelling me to buy it.
