I am off to buy. As the game is about ballet, I was a little disappointed not to hear any classical stuff. I always like this feature. The only thing I didn't like about this game was that I have played one very similar. Danse Macabre: Ominous Obsession Collectors Edition, another nice touch from these developers. Gaspar's finest work is the character of Donatella di Fiore, which in this first performance since the fire is being danced by your sister Adele. All items are easy to see and not small. Game play was smooth and easy to follow. I highly recommend, whether you go with the CE or SE which has a very satisfying end. You will collect 44 flowers for Marie's bouquet and this edition has several "extras" such as unlimited mini games and HOS, a bonus game and even Collcetors souvenir shop.
In keeping with demo tradition, we finish with a cliff hanger, but how we are going to get out of this particular predicament totally escapes me! Just the right amount of difficulty for me. I would definately and I stress "definately" purchase the CE because it truly makes this game one of a kind. As time passes by, everyone has long forgotten the tragedy, the horrible accident, or so everyone believes! HOPs are of the very easy variety, simply find items from the list. Not to mention, that some tasks are far from being logical and Coconut Queen a few objects are placed in irrational places. It is not, however, my favourite Eipix. The background music is pleasant enough, but the voice-acting is sometimes slightly awkward and inappropriately dramatic.
Loved the map!!! There is a Souvenir Room, another mini-game, where you go back through the locations finding one new item. On the other hand, we found ourselves enjoying the hidden object scenes and the puzzles quite a bit. Wonderful introduction gives you all the backstory you need, and a fair indication of how this story is going to go. The game was beautiful and complex, although I do not think that the bonus chapter was anything great but I would definitely buy the CE for the other inclusions. The puzzles are hard for me but each time I manage one I feel soooo very great. At the same time, the puzzles provide a decent challenge level, although the majority of them are based on the same-old concepts. One of the best parts of the demo is the ending. The series fatigue has definitely set in for Danse Macabre. The thing is, I have played literally hundreds of games so most of you may not even remember that one. Hint is directional. Definitely my kind of game. But as I said before, I could have done without it. The way the map opens is a bit annoying with an extra step of animation to open the document. OK, I am nit-picking now!
The background music is pleasant enough, but the voice-acting is sometimes slightly awkward and inappropriately dramatic. The game was beautiful and complex, although I do not think that the bonus chapter was anything great but I would definitely buy the CE for the other inclusions. Any PotO lovers Phantom of the Opera will soon see the similarities to that story from the intro alone - he is a talented but jealous composer who lives beneath a theater and is in love with the star of the show not a singer but a ballet dancer - He is very much a Phantom! There are 4 levels of difficulties. I loved that the majority of the entire game took place inside the old theater or under it , and on its grounds The characters in the location are still, while there is a smaller pic beside the speech box where lips do move.
