Reflections of Life: Call of the Ancestors

I like minimal games that actually help me progress in the story. Recently I have talked about how the lesser known series seem to put much more thought into their games as they strive for perfection, and this game is another perfect example Throughout your adventure, you will visit many realms, including Loreley's realm of pure souls on a seemingly never ending quest to catch General Luther, and save your sister. There is a pull out tab on the left of the screen that that will tell you if you've found all of them in a scene or how many are left to find there. The game fares better with the hidden object scenes and the puzzles. We were not necessarily impressed with the cutscenes either, we have definitely seen better from this developer. Reflections of Life: Call of the Ancestors sticks with the formula when it comes to the gameplay. This is actually a good thing, no matter how impossible, as the bird had stolen the key to your sister's new motor scooter. You keep running back and forth playing HO's and mini games just to get some artifact or key to open something 2 scenes back to get something else to carry forward 3 scenes to do something else and on and on and on. Music, on the other hand, is a little on the kiddish side. This is not what I like in my HO games. I recommend this game, but like everyone else has said many many times: try it for yourself. Graphics are clear and distinct. You must save her before the evil Luther uses her power to reincarnate himself and take over the world. As luck would have it, we also found a very special alley cat that was able to walk up this ribbon sideways! Heck, even one where I fly to a distant planet and help rescue them would be nice.

Rather than call , once you get loose, you run around the place completing puzzles to open the cabinet where you hid the fire extinguisher. Not that it's illogical, but I did find it odd that two of the main characters had odd names that will probably ring a familiar bell, Luther and Demien. We get to go to the "Good Place" for a bit, but we also visit the "Evil Place. Graphics were very distinct and crisp. Would I recommend this game? Graphics are ok on this one-not great but not bad either and the characters at least fit the part they play and don't have comical movements, costumes or voices. In this one you do not play Grace and no Owl. Isn't there any other scenario they can come up with. There are the usual HOPs with a Match 3 alternative, mini-games, and another bout between good and evil. In this series:. Without a body, Luther cannot open the Gates, and ironically, his soul can only be revived within the body of a natural born Seer. The Hidden Object Scenes were different variations each time, one of the scenes in the demo are repeated, but it was repeated with a different style the second time around. This day is your sister Alice's 21st birthday or it may be your daughter's 13th birthday according to BF and Alice is about to get a big birthday surprise, from General Luther himself!

I liked the scenes that were chosen and the tasks to complete in almost all of them! Great graphics and sound, around 8 HOPS and several puzzles. Some of them are not as easy to solve, but this adds more of a challenge, IMO. If using necklaces to open boxes, escaping a burning building only after performing a string of silly exercises, and dealing with a magic orb helper are your thing, and you haven't gotten enough from the last or so games churned out in this genre that are just like it, then this game is for you. In this one you do not play Grace and no Owl. Have fun! Somewhat grainy graphics, somewhat stilted voiceovers, and somewhat clumsy game controls are the insults added to the injury of yet another game that has absolutely nothing innovative or even mildly entertaining to recommend it. This one, on the other hand, is just challenging. The colors in this game are very neon, which would be fine if the graphics are of exceptional quality. The Mini Games offer a nice variety as well, some are super simple, others tend to be a bit frustrating but not impossible. In this series:. Not that it's illogical, but I did find it odd that two of the main characters had odd names that will probably ring a familiar bell, Luther and Demien. You must save her before the evil Luther uses her power to reincarnate himself and take over the world. The hidden object scenes offer a nice variety, are smartly-designed and can be somewhat challenging.

In this one you do not play Grace and no Owl. I hope the developers can, somehow, be made aware of these reviews and take Funny Pets hint. Music added just the right touch of flavor. I also completed the demo in a distressingly short amount of time - never PuppetShow: Lost Town Collectors Edition good sign. There are the usual HOPs with a Match 3 alternative, mini-games, and another bout between good and evil. Recently Tradewinds Classic have talked about how the lesser known series seem to put much more thought into their games as they strive for perfection, and this game is another perfect example Throughout your adventure, you will visit many realms, including Loreley's realm of pure souls on a seemingly never ending quest to catch General Luther, and save your sister. Otherwise, I recommend giving it a miss. This is not what I like in my HO games. You run outside to see them going off, dragging Sis. Lucky you gets a hood thrown over your head from behind and you're tied up. Have fun! Not that it's illogical, but I did find it odd that Reflections of Life: Call of the Ancestors of the main characters had odd names that will probably ring a familiar bell, Luther and Demien. For me.

This game held my interest with it's numerous puzzles and HOP's that continued this pace to the end without becoming boring like a lot of games do. Reflections of Life: Call of the Ancestors sticks with the formula when it comes to the gameplay. And If I see one more story where I male have to play a female, and rescue my relative or humankind or the world I am going to scream!! Isn't there any other scenario they can come up with. The Guardian Seers predicted this would happen and imprisoned his army behind the Gates of Oblivion. I found the HOP's to be entertaining throughout the main game as well, although they were basically variations of the same types offered within the demo. Without a body, Luther cannot open the Gates, and ironically, his soul can only be revived within the body of a natural born Seer. There's the description flaw discrepancy, whether Alice is your daughter or sister for starters. The crystal ball was an item Granny had been holding onto for who knows how long, but why? Now that we've rejected any pretense at logic and reason, we get to the bottom line. The puzzles are not groundbreaking, but they are very entertaining nonetheless. Monsters with big, sharp teeth and horns! Also seemed shorter than the others. If you are looking for a good story with innovative details in game and puzzles, keep moving!

Then the bad guys torch the thee and you have to get out the fire extinguisher, the problem is, this life saving device is locked behind a glass cabinet and is missing a gem required to open it, I'm pretty sure that's not up to code Rwflections. The crystal ball was an item Granny had been holding onto Ref,ections who knows how long, but why? Otherwise, Tradewinds Classic recommend giving it a miss. If you've ever played a HOPA game, you have already played this one, and chances are the one you played looked nicer and had smoother gameplay. Lucky you gets a hood thrown over your head from behind and you're tied up. The game fares better with the hidden object scenes and the puzzles. Review based on completed game. We are intelligent and we want something to match that. You pause to see the front of your shop collapse from the conflagration and take off after the bad guys. There hasn't been a natural born Seer in over a thousand years, and the General has tge patiently for this day to come. This is actually a good thing, no matter how impossible, as the bird had stolen the key to Reflections of Life: Call of the Ancestors sister's new motor scooter. I hope the developers can, somehow, be made aware Outta This Kingdom these reviews and take a Refleftions. I liked the scenes that were chosen and the tasks to complete in almost all of them!
