I like the variety and the graphics are good. Game play consists of a series of HO areas hotel room, bathroom, restaurant, market place, yacht, etc. There wasn't even a puzzle at the end that you have to try and solve like the Mystery PI games, usually you are given puzzle clues at the end of each level but this game here once you do the last hidden object scene that was it. If you have played any of the mystery PI games you have played them all! A basic, straight forward game. Scenes realistic but not captivating. Even many of the items to find are repeats. The only thing I found different and interesting about this game was learning some interesting facts on Hawaii and the one and only reason I finished the game. Simply check the box and save to enter this mode. A nice game to play while daydreaming about that tropical vacation. It also gives some very interesting facts on the area. Objects can be found within seconds of reading the list of HOs as are the 3 stars you find to unlock additional levels. In each scene you find the HOs plus 3 seashells to unlock the bonus mode. If not, think about it before you buy. Very boring!Very boring! I especially love the idea of adding days to your vacation and the wonderfully clear and interactive graphics. If you are looking for something to fill your idle hands, this will do that. The games are fairly easy and provide a nice variety along with the hidden objects. Once you find the knife click on it and it will stick to your cursor. As my title says If you have never played Mystery PI, you will probably enjoy it. Items that act upon other items — While in the hidden object scenes you will frequently have to find items that you will click on and bring them to other items to act upon them. Same places over and over again. Although each day's hunt is timed I felt no pressure. Music was good too, with a nice island melody and rhythm. If you complete the requirements of the 28 scenes you will unlock an additional week of your vacation which is also shown here.
I can't wait for the next one! Game Elements Hidden Boomerangs — There are three boomerangs hidden in each hidden object scene in the game. Once you find the knife click on it and it will stick to your cursor. Bring it to the tomato and click on it again to complete the action. Note that some puzzles may have different solutions from what is shown here due to the nature of the puzzle. This game is definitely kid friendly. No storyline, no running around, no dialogue. Same places over and over again. While I enjoy Popcap games, this one is just too easy. Items that act upon other items — While in the hidden object scenes you will frequently have to find items that you will click on and bring them to other items to act upon them. It's a refreshing new game. If that type of HO is too boring or whatever for you, you probably won't like this. I loved the different graphics and the bright theme was great. Graphics are very pretty and pleasant to view.

While I enjoy Popcap games, this one is just too easy. Usually I mute the music and sounds but this one I will listen to for hours. Bring it to the tomato and click on it again to complete the action. This game is definitely kid friendly. Enjoyed seeing "your vacation extended" when I found shells, but began to dread chime each time I found HO. I haven't done the timed one yet, I like the relaxed mode best, but will try it next. If you like the Mystery PI's, then you'll find Vacation Quest: The Hawaiian Islands game just as enjoyable.
Second verse same as the first. The graphics are really good, music is good. Many levels, but same objects too often. Important — If you exit a location without finding all three boomerangs you cannot return to the location to find it so be sure to locate the boomerangs first when you enter a new hidden object scene. The hidden objects were in plain sight once you found them, but also cleverly placed. The screens are detailed, the items easily identifiable. Definately game for pre-teens. A mindless break that is well worth the money. The hints were always ready - and I used them at the end just to hurry through the game. I can't wait for the next one! Enjoy I surely did. And the hint button gives where the item is not a vague location or shadow. You will be prompted to give your user name and choose your game icon from the three Zumas Revenge which is a hat, a boomerang and a Koala bear. Mini-games easy. Graphics were wonderful each Mad Mouse stunning and Isalnds objects well placed. Also, the Viking Brothers 5 is too repetitive.
