The Secret Order: Shadow Breach

Sunward Games proudly presents another chapter in their classic adventure series The Secret Order! Sarah Pennington is back again, called in to help research a strange almanac that is sealing away an ancient power. Other powerful artifacts are being unveiled as well, and when one attaches itself to Sarah, she finds herself caught up in an ancient battle, one that will conclude when the almanac finally opens. Can Sarah and her allies stop the almanac from opening, or is this really the end of the world? Find out in this bold hidden-object puzzle adventure game!

Even cooler, a jigsaw puzzle that was available in small, medium or large sizes! You can opt to play a Pair Matching game where you turn over two cards at a time to find identical pairs. The CE version has Collectible Scrolls in each scene in 3 different categories, Creatures, Nature, and Artifacts, and each scroll has a brief description of the item. The race is on now, to find the 7 Relics of the Armament. It drives me nuts -- I spend way too much time on it and then finally give up. A 5-star game for me. There are also 25 Morphing Objects in the CE, however, the objects in question are a little too large and morph a little too fast, which make them too obvious. The production value is less than impressive with the over use of cool tones though colorful as you progress into the second half of the adventure. I hope the next edition is executed with a higher production standard and more challenging puzzles. This is further assisted by the wonderful production. But can you find them before the villains do?

All in all, an excellent game. Art-work, graphics, sounds and music, HOGs and Minis all were great. I've seen "gadgets and helpers" come and go, throughout the six previous games, but I must admit, I slightly gasped in horror when Shadow Breach introduced the Bracelet of Fire : and in the first scene at that! Now in her new home she receives a distress call from Alex also a member of the Secret Order who informs her of an ancient almanac currently in the hands of Maggie Cook. The HOP's are great because they are interactive. Sarah, now armed with a bracelet of fire must locate 7 magical relics that were originally used against Odessa and destroy them. Despite being a fantasy game with magical creatures and fairytale-like landscapes, the adventurous undertones are prevalent in this sequel.
