The Beast of Lycan Isle

Luna has been summoned by Tara, her best friend, to an ancient village on a remote island. Tara needs Luna's expertise on a newly unearthed artifact that might prove the existence of the legendary cult of the Madra Alta or Wolf Man. But when she arrives the locals are acting very strangely, her friend has disappeared, and terrible clues reveal a situation beyond her worst nightmare. She must rely on her fearless wit and trusted allies to find her friend. She must dig deep into the instincts and courage of her own inner animal to defeat the Wolf King himself.

This is the first game I've played where your cursor will NOT change when there is something you can click on. I did want to play it through; it wasn't at all boring, just a little too straightforward. Clumsy journal design Get ready for one beast of a Hidden Object game In The Beast of Lycan Isle, you play as a young woman named Luna, who finds herself caught in a desperate race against the waxing moon. I never knew what direction it was going to go, but I knew I wanted to find out. No random objects in a dark room that made no sense. I found it a very interesting and absorbing game and one of the better games on offer. The puzzles are a nice mix of types with none of them too frustrating or difficult. Players will actually find themselves speeding through the game: breathlessly solving puzzles, frantically clicking through locations, and always moving one step closer to saving their friend. Overall it is a pretty good game. Interesting story, interesting characters, and beautiful graphics. My biggest complaint with this game is the lack of a fast-travel system between locations, which renders your island map all but useless. So far.

The mini games I found them ok by standard. This extra leg of your journey is a real challenge for hardcore gamers, sending you to hunt for trash across the island and throwing complex puzzles at you with limited tips and instructions. Also, It was refreshing to not have to run back and forth just to find one item, or to hold various items throughout most of the game for no particular reason. I liked that the hidden objects were in the area you needed them to be and they were an integral part of the game play. This is one of the few games were I didn't want to slap my character for being so dumb. The graphics are good with some very interesting scenes. I did want to play it through; it wasn't at all boring, just a little too straightforward. The hints were vague, but not so much that it drove you insane. I don't get it? I gotta say, the end was a crash and burn. At first I played "casual" but found it too easy. The character animations are wonderful. The graphics are superb, clear and intricate illustrations that ooze with details.

My biggest complaint with this game is the lack of a quick trip between locations on Legends of Solitaire: Curse of the Dragons island map. 1. This game is excellent and stands out from most of the others I've played, in my opinion. I really really enjoyed The Beast of Lycan Isle Many portals but not too difficult to get around.

  2. Players will feel this absence most when they are forced to travel back and forth. What the heck was that? I would definitly buy another like it.

  3. Otherwise, I would have given it five stars. I didn't mind the dialogue because what was being said actually helped you through the game. The opening scenes really got me into the story. No arrows, no "hands", no nothing.

  4. The overall story is good as well. Superb graphics and voices! But the more I played it, the more I liked it. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by DrDavid from Wonderful I was lucky enough to Beta test this game and where it left me hanging I had to buy the game and finish it.

  5. Good graphics, exellent story and hidden objects that were objects, not just words of objects you had to find. I actually liked the backstory and the game play and even most of the puzzles until a couple at the end. The Graphics were very clear. I loved looking for clues to my friend Tara and working out how to best use the map and the hints which are kind of riddles rather than concrete indicators - great! The voice overs are fabulous, the plot well thought through.

  6. To play in in expert mode you would be clicking on everything in every scene and that is not my cup of tea. Well done, good re-play and okay for older kids but the storyline about a werewolf may not be appropiate for younger children. Otherwise, I would have given it five stars. The map is quite helpful in showing you where you are and where you need to be, but alas--you can't click on a place and go there, which is a downside.

  7. Fun fast paced game. The presence of a strategy guide is always welcome although I think I could get through it without next time round. The hint button will tell you where you need to go or what you need to do, but it won't tell you how to get there-you have to figure that out on your own. But the more I played it, the more I liked it.

  8. And, yes,? However, the further you advance, the more linear the game becomes, and thus less problems for subsequent levels are expected. Regardless, I still enjoyed the experience. Some of those were tricky to find. The characters, particularly the old lady, are interesting.

  9. I loved looking for clues to my friend Tara and working out how to best use the map and the hints which are kind of riddles rather than concrete indicators - great! Voice overs could have been better but the graphics were fun and the puzzels challenging enough to keep me working at it. I liked the variation of HO by finding objects to fit into outlines. Discuss with other players!

  10. Nothing got explained really? The hint button is truly helpful and recharges reasonable fast. A map that allowed you to jump would have been a welcome addition. The puzzles are a nice mix of types with none of them too frustrating or difficult. Thanks for those who developed it.

  11. Graphics were great, storyline interesting. The story was a little strange with a few holes but nothing to really make you disappointed with the game itself. The graphics are superb, clear and intricate illustrations that ooze with details. A worthwhile game to play and spend your time with. Do you have an issue with your game?
