The mini-games were innovative, with multi-step jigsaws and logic-type screens to light up with various lanterns. Add to that the fact that much of the in-game text obviously wasn't written by a native English writer. Sounds and music are subtle not annoying. The graphics were great and the game held your interest - I wish it could have lasted longer! This is the first game since Enlightenus that interested me enough to read all the sequences, read all the journal entries and really study the whole game. This is once only play for me. I had to watch it again before I realized they weren't going to tell you more. Phenomenon: City of Cyan is great for all those gamers who couldn't care less about the story and who just want to find stuff. Sadly, the game ended like dropping off a cliff. Took me a minute to realize I had finished it. But, I am replaying it again! Good work, developers.

If I have one criticism it is that the ending is a bit unsatisfying even if it is meant to be a teaser for a sequel. Puzzles were fun to do and got you thinking. I kept having to refer to hints to figure out what to do next because the forward moves just weren't very logical. I needed more!! This game will be around a long time for many to enjoy! If I had my way, the current batch of HOPA developers would take a look at some of the older games that have very high reviews and then perhaps go back to the basics of these excellent older games. After all the traversing around, it was a very disappointing finale. I especially liked a unique puzzle that actively involved the map. The problem is that as you go through the story the other tasks you have to complete don't really fit in. I think I'm not a game addict but this game has captured my interest. The story's more absurd than most, and the voice acting is ear-bleedingly bad. Otherwise, it was beautifully made, and the HOGs were good, a little more interesting with the addition of built-in extra puzzles in the time function.

Never Rainblood: Town of Death out about the mother so maybe they Barn Yarn planning a sequel. It is not terribly difficult, and the hint system is very useful if you do get stuck. The few HOG scenes were more interactive with a hidden scene within the scene. Good work, developers. I recommend it highly. The "cyan ghosts" all looked great, and there was a surprisingly spooky moment that startled the 4-year-old watching me play the game. The scenery was colorful and so beautiful, if not always as sharp as today's graphics. There was quite a bit of going back and forth but the game map was exceptionally helpful with Poker for Dummies. Monica, now a magically babelicious redhead, is back in Cyan City after receiving a mysterious note that her mother may still be alive. There are Citadel Arcanes implementation else where, such as when you have to complete a puzzle on Pet Hotel Tycoon map. But then, it is just the first installment Cyxn the series.

The graphics are also pleasing to the eye. I really enjoy futuristic stories and this game does not disappoint. It was a fun afternoon playing this game. Yes, maybe the voice acting needed some help but I could get past that. The hint gave good hints. The graphics were great and the game held your interest - I wish it could have lasted longer! Yes, they are still hidden object but with very refreshing twists. Well done, to the whole game building crew. Moral of the story? A mixture of HO and puzzles, very much my thing. On to the next one! I really enjoyed it; I liked the creative puzzles which I mostly was able to solve. Sounds and music are subtle not annoying.

Moral of the story? There Doodle God Griddlers just the right amount of hidden object scenes. I was pleasantly surprised to see totally different puzzles and unique challenges. Who can you trust? Zumas Revenge kept having to refer to hints to figure out what to do next because the forward moves just weren't very logical. The Legendary Mahjong are very good and the HO were fun to find. It's the home stretch at school, and this is total war. Yes, they are still hidden object but with very refreshing twists. Well done, to the whole game building crew. There was a Phenomenon: City of Cyan variety of fun puzzles, but nothing too difficult. This game will be around a long time for many to enjoy! I have played lots of games but, can say this is the first one ever, hints were not needed at all. But, when you enter a HOS or any mini-game, the structure is straightforward and it is easy to figure out what the object is. But, I am replaying it again! I recommend it highly.

  1. Puzzles were fun to do and got you thinking. If there is a sequel, bet it will be platnium and costly! Cut to present day. Until there are changes to the newer games, I think I will have to content myself with the older HOPA games that really were worth the money. Sadly, the game ended like dropping off a cliff.

  3. The scenes are rich with detail. It had good graphics, okay storyline and nice HO scenes. The HO scenes are good, not too hard, not too easy, and they each have a HO game within the scene which is different and fun. Does she have an uncle named Cheese Dipp? Story line was very enjoyable as it pulled you into helping Monica find her mother.

There are clever implementation else where, such as when you have to complete a puzzle on your map.

  7. On to the next one! It's almost like she intentionally emphasized all the wrong parts of words. The hints are very good and the HO were fun to find. It seems that 20 years ago, Monica's mom, Eve Dipp, gave Monica a fantastic-looking necklace and then proceeded to overreach as all good scientists eventually do, blowing up her secret lair and causing strange things to happen in surrounding Cyan City.

  9. You know who you are, you dirty cutscene skippers. Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I like that the scenes are not cluttered, so the frustration level is low when you need to find an object. It is not terribly difficult, and the hint system is very useful if you do get stuck.
