I got stuck several times and without anything to guide me in the right direction--a hint or suggestion system, or even a map highlighting areas with things to do would have been nice--I had to completely exit the game and find a walkthrough. The graphics are good although they probably could have been a little more gritty considering it is the old west. Sometimes inventory items are used pretty much right away and sometimes not. It's up to you, a psychic paranormal detective, to use your advanced powers of perception to vanquish the ghost and save the last remaining townfolk. No one's written about Ghost Encounters - Deadwood yet. Not spectacular like "Pickers", and not the most heinous either. Excellent graphics, looked like a real western town. I played this one when it first out and yes, I have fun I never leave a review before. The mini games were okay and finding things wasn't too hard, but actually using what you gained was a little tricky sometimes. Enjoyed it immensely as it was a nice fairly light game, not so dark as some other HOGS. Game lasts a long time and I think it would be worth while for you to play if you like HOG's. Would of bought it sooner but too involved in the game. After all it is a HOG.

HOS clear and uncluttered, a numerous. The beginning of the game Shining Plume me started off pretty Ghost Encounters: Deadwood but I'll admit as the game progressed I did get a little hung up on where to go and do next. I sure hope to see more from this developer. I don't mind having to go back and forth Ghost Encounters: Deadwood I do prefer to know what my purpose is. Find by word list. A mix of finding things and figuring out what to do with it. I would have also liked to see more of Blackjack interacting solidly with the story, not an inkblot. As for game length: Obviously varies from game player to game player but for me was about 5 hours which I found to be long enough and sure entertained me. I admit, I like to use the hint button sometimes. The storyline was cute and the graphics were great, 2D Mahjong Temple the HOS were cluttered with theme inappropriate items. Overall it is a nice game except that there was a glitch in the software — when I placed the last bone in the coffin it snapped out and simply disappeared. The story grabs you The Scruffs: Return of the Duke the start. The only downside, which kept it from gettin 5 stars, was the amount Mother Nature back and forth between locations with no map.

Download the free trial if you want, but don't bother with the whole game. I bought this one and am still playing after 4 hours even though I haven't got stuck for too long anywhere yet. My only problem with the game, and why I gave it only 4 stars, was the lack of any type of help outside of HO scenes. Hidden Objects were easy enopugh to detect, though Squeaky Squeaky as a hint was not quite descriptive enough for my blond brain to comprehend LOL Loved the Game!! I have played the Demo in Advanced mode and up to now everything about this game is great, it keeps you alert and wanting to know what is around the next corner. If you are a beginner in HOPA or maybe looking a game for spending your lazy time, well try this one! Negatives: Too much backtracking to same areas to get what you needed which added time to the game.
