Ghosts of the Past: Bones of Meadows Town Collectors Edition

An exciting new series from ERS Game Studios, creators of PuppetShow, Grim Façade, and Spirits of Mystery! The sheriff of Meadows Town has disappeared without a trace, and you've been hired as his replacement. But a recent storm has emptied the town of almost all inhabitants. The streets are boarded up and abandoned, and no one can explain the forces behind the weather... or the terrifying string of murders that has just begun. Only you and your deputy are left to piece together the mystery of mummified bodies and ghostly apparitions. Can an angry spirit really be the cause of the turmoil? Or is there something else afoot in this strangely empty town? Find out in this spooky Hidden Object Adventure game! This is a special Collector's Edition release full of exclusive extras you won't find in the standard version. As a bonus, Collector's Edition purchases count toward three stamps on your Monthly Game Club Punch Card! The Collector's Edition includes:

There is also a device you have to use to find "spirits" in the room. It's definitely worth a try. Beautiful scenes that ERS is famous for. And the factor of no actual morphing objects, nor any HO areas just yet. I only have one minor complaint, and that is the same as a few others have commented on: Why would you have the game based in America when it's a well known fact that there is no ancient Viking culture there? Then again I grew up in the 70's so my memory isn't very good. This gave me the longest gameplay hours without being bored of any game in a whileeven the bonus chapter stood up to justifying the collector's edition price. I love that there were 4 levels, I just feel things could have been spread out more toward the end. It was long, challenging, interesting, and definitely CE worthy. You will also collect 40 different Viking Ruins which will reveal prophecies as you place each of the 5 ruins upon 8 different scrolls. Not long into the investigation, you're encountered with angry spirits and faced with the mysteries of the Vikings; can you solve this mystery and break this deadly curse? It seems Valkiris just wants to be reunited with her love Torvald, who has gone to Valhalla -- but no women allowed! I'd like them to put together a new Puppet Show. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by tutortime from Great Game. I did not care for the HOS, nor did I care for the puzzles.

It was long, challenging, interesting, and definitely CE worthy. The graphics were okay and so was the music. The CE comes with collectable runes, and many extras you won't find in the Standart Version. And you're next! Ghosts of the Past focuses very heavily on the adventure and the puzzles, which leaves very little room for the hidden object scenes. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by tekeguy from My Sleeper Game I had no intention of buying this game but selected it as an add-on to a collector's edition sale. I thoroughly recommend you give it a try and hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I've never been a fan of ERS games, however, I do give each game a fair demo. ERS actually did their research and this is true fact. The absolute faster I can go, the better, but not here. I played the demo for 81 minutes and truly had a great time! I, for one, was pulling out my hair with the hidden objects in finding an item and having to replace it back into the picture. There is little to no thinking involved.

A new ERS game, yay! One was a find pairs and the other a replace items. My fears are allayed. Like how the did their HO's This game also had custom set up when choosing to play on easy or harder mode. Anyhow, the story was okay, the games were cool, I like the challenge of the mini games, I only skipped one I didn't understand. Too many blue and green, pink and purple colors. There aren't too many mini games either but they all seem fairly easy such as placing single fingerprints one at a time onto the matching originals. HOSs: I only came across 2. Graphics were crisp and storyline well thought out. The voiceovers are very good and, yes, lip-sync is back - thank you ERS! Collectors are usually what I go for because of the Strategy Guide plus bonus content. Many items in inventory items, many things to remember, becktracking sometimes. I liked the game, It was quite enjoyable to play. Next scene, the Deputy is smiling and is saying just feel free to look around, etc. I can't wait for this weekend sale.

Not many puzzles yet either, but what I found was quite fun. Each game and HOP Zumas Revenge into the story. Graphics: 3. This group Mah Jong Quest II developers has a formula that sings, "Enjoy the fruits of our labor with just the right amount of difficulty. Nice sound track. Love it! There is also a device you have to use to find "spirits" in the room. There are collectible runes which must be placed in certain scrollworks. SG was the usual and had very clear instructions. This game had everything I like. However you play an detective and have to gather clues, so tyhat part is new. Kudos though for no sparkles or black bar tips on the hardest mode. Although the beta of the game did indicate that there were achievements to be earned, those seem to be missing from the full release.

Purchased the CE based on what I thought was a promising beginning that spiraled out of control into the zany world of ERS and then surfaced again to a conclusion. A Viking lady, Valkiris, loses her husband and is disheartened when she cannot visit his remains in Valhalla due to the fact she is not a Viking warrior. ERS did most of the things right this time, with here and there to be polished and some originality to be added. First, I'm thinking this is supposed to be spooky. The storyline is a new take, which I liked a lot. Anyhow, the story was okay, the games were cool, I like the challenge of the mini games, I only skipped one I didn't understand. I, for one, was pulling out my hair with the hidden objects in finding an item and having to replace it back into the picture. The storyline in Ghosts of the Past is far from original, as can easily be predicted from another 'car-crash' opening. So I truly hope they take the players' reviews to heart and keep this up. The HOPs are fun -- match pairs of objects, dress a man who lost some clothes running from the spirit. A new ERS game, yay! I can't remember another Hidden Object game involving Vikings, so it is pretty neat to have a Viking love story as the theme of this game.

The CC edition is worth the Meadwos. The graphics in Ghosts of the Past are nothing to rave Mysterium: Lake Bliss. Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by skullfun from ERS seems to be All-in-One Mahjong in a new direction Our villainess Valkiris is obviously of Nordic origin Medows she speaks perfect American English. Well, the answer is quite a bit since there is the inevitable car crash and you must extricate yourself right off the bat. Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by sjwitte from Not enought hidden objects to find I don't want to write a long review. Not many puzzles yet either, but what I found was quite fun.

  1. Other Extras included in the Collector's Edition can be found in the checklist below. Happy gaming! No cutesy animal helper.

  2. I can't remember another Hidden Object game involving Vikings, so it is pretty neat to have a Viking love story as the theme of this game. Ideal game for a wet afternoon. The gameplay was great and the visuals were excellent. The gameplay is the best I've seen in quite a while.

  3. Whether or not you buy the CE, the SE or decide not to purchase at all is a personal choice, but as always, I recommend that you at least try the demo to see if this is a game you will like. In any event if you choose not to locate items in the HOS then there is a Tetris style puzzle available to play. Our villainess Valkiris is obviously of Nordic origin yet she speaks perfect American English. HOSs: I only came across 2. In my opinion based solely on the demo, this game rocks!!!

  4. I've played 30 minutes now and I think, there's about an hour left to play. Discover the truth, behind an archological dig and a missing Sheriff, who's infact always present, without beeing noticed. Music was very nice and moved with what was happening at the time. Great fun to play but not really challenging enough for me - finished well within the time limit playing on most difficult. People have already covered every aspect of the the audio, voiceovers, visuals, game-play, etc.

  5. People have already covered every aspect of the the audio, voiceovers, visuals, game-play, etc. Finding the runes was a lot of fun. You arrive in town just as a major storm is approaching and the area is being evacuated, so I wonder what else can go wrong.

  6. Ghost finder, jump map, and a kitten for a short time. Both were so simplistic it was ridiculous. Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by Tufty57 from Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. The mini-games are even better -- match fingerprints, use a phone without the numbers being visitble, complete Viking magnets on the fridge. So i'll wait for a great sale for this one, or until the SE comes out.

  7. Thank you. Date published: Rated 4 out of 5 by LogieBaby from After a few duds, ERS delivers When I started the demo and learned ERS is the developer, I initially took pause since their games recently have not been up to par with most of its early efforts. The storyline in Ghosts of the Past is far from original, as can easily be predicted from another 'car-crash' opening.

  8. The only collectibles I found are the runes, which are pretty well hidden here and there. I only have one minor complaint, and that is the same as a few others have commented on: Why would you have the game based in America when it's a well known fact that there is no ancient Viking culture there? Great fun to play but not really challenging enough for me - finished well within the time limit playing on most difficult.
