Llama Longplays - Episode 5: I Spy Fantasy

So cute. I never knew a game could be so fun. There are only 7 mysteries with the first 4 of them with only 4 hidden object scenes and riddles and the last 3 have hidden objects scenes with same amount of riddles. The pictures used as puzzles are intricate and fascinating, and solving them requires thinking and problem-solving skills. Just keep your screen cleaner handy for the fingerprints left when they find the object. Families who are new to this series will find lots to like. All-in-all this game was a very nice and easy and quick respite before diving back into a much harder game that I've been playing BUT it's definitely NOT worth anymore than the DD price. This game is a real nice change from the 'dark' HOG games and you can take all of the time you want to find the objects. This software contains 56 I Spy puzzles that challenge kids to find objects hidden in a crowded photorealistic picture; accompanying each picture is a riddle that, when solved, lists the objects to find. So if you're trying to work and your kids on getting on your nerves, plop them on the couch with one of these. I love way the HO's interact when you click on them. I love the riddles, sounds, graphics and most of all the animation each found object makes when you've clicked on it. Your list is at the bottom instead along the side. The gameplay is pretty basic.

So if you're trying to work and your kids on getting on your nerves, plop them on the couch with one of these. I used to LOVE these games and my kids enjoy them very much now. Yes, these games are for the younger generation, but I'm young-at-heart. No annoying timers, which is real nice since there's no hints in the game. Clear graphics, nice sound track Sometimes I had to write a two or whatever on paper so they could find it. My only complaint is that Mystey load each new scene a little slower than I like. I really enjoyed these Myshery games and will purchase the rest of the series when Big Fish has another sale! All-in-all this game was a very nice and easy and quick respite before diving back into a much harder game that I've been playing BUT it's definitely NOT worth anymore than the DD price. Some make you think. They have been great vocabulary builders for her because there are so many items in the pictures that I would not otherwise think to show I SPY Mystery. Parents might lead a discussion about magnification and how there are things that exist that we can't see with the naked eye. Just keep your screen cleaner handy for the Lighthouse Lunacy left when they find the object.

This is almost as satisfying as reading books with the little one on my lap. The pictures are like haunting spectres that remind me of my youth I love the riddles, sounds, graphics and most of all the animation each found object makes when you've clicked on it. You can go from scene to scene without completing them, giving you time to refresh your eyes and then come back and find the HO's you didn't find before. We enjoy talking about what she sees, or I will randomly choose things to tell her I spy, and she looks for them. This game does not play in full screen and the resolution is a little scratchy being an older game. But since the recycled puzzles are combined with new puzzles to form mysteries that have additional components, even kids who've played the previous titles will find something new to explore here. The hunting games, for one, utilize unique variation in looking for 'clues' while solving the I SPY mysteries. If I got stuck finding an object I'd move on to another chapter and come back later with fresh eyes to find what I was looking for.

As the kids have gotten older, they can play this game pretty independently. The words are in large print. They have been great vocabulary builders for her because there are so many items in the pictures that I would not otherwise think to show her. It kept me busy and made me use my noggin. Great for rainy days : Thank you BFG for bringing back games for children of gamers. If the word buck is listed you may find a male deer instead of a dollar bill.   1. If you move the pointer to the list, each object will be announced again. I bought 2 of the 'I Spy' games last night during a fantastic sale! But since the recycled puzzles are combined with new puzzles to form mysteries that have additional components, even kids who've played the previous titles will find something new to explore here.

  2. This can be disappointing to children anticipating all-new content. It is very different from most all other HOGs. This game is a real nice change from the 'dark' HOG games and you can take all of the time you want to find the objects. It is in a child-like format yet can certainly be appreciated by all ages and is much more challenging than it first appears when you begin to play.

  3. We enjoy talking about what she sees, or I will randomly choose things to tell her I spy, and she looks for them. My only complaint is that they load each new scene a little slower than I like.
