A letter out of the blue tells you that you have inherited your aunt's estate. But, you couldn’t have imagining what awaits you there. Having spent the summer with your aunt when you were seven years old, you recall the estate being larger than life. Now, it has passed to you and unfortunately, it’s been left derelict and in a complete mess. After exploring one of the rooms, a single page from a secret diary was found and it’s addressed to you! After reading more, you realize that there is more to this estate than meets the eye. What secret is this mysterious diary hiding?

The dog doing its "Woof woof woof" every few minutes was annoying as I then had to use the "X" to get rid of the dialogue box to get back to the game. It will be a HOS that you Bribht pan around. The objects are small, but there is a magnifier feature which really helps, unless the object is somewhere really dark. No online version available. This means that any storyline is fragmented. Once I stopped and saw what it is that I needed to do, it was really fun. It took me a little bit to understand the layout and where I was supposed to go to next. The HOS themselves are beautifully drawn and can be quite challenging. I would like to play another.

In eacj scene you have a two-part HOP: first you find 10 of one thing, and then another ten different named things, Chase for Adventure 3: The Underworld of which will go into inventory. Receiving them out of order forced me to wait almost to the end of the game to really be able to get the whole gist of the mystery. As I said, I am not far enough in the story line to comment on it, but I am curious enough to come back, although it may be Surface: Lost Tales Collectors Edition while. It's a HOPA game; difficult to find items at times but you have a magnifying glass to help you and a "dog" for a hint that refills fairly quickly. Each of those is also a HO. I find it to be a good, fun game.

I find this to be a game for non-expert players but those who want an easy game. You choose which location you want to search such as the kitchen garden, or gazebo and then you click on the magnifying glass to zoom into a section, and then you can click and drag the scene up and down back and forth, searching sections for the listed inventory items. The biggest problem with the game, is once you've gone to all the areas and found all the hidden objects, there is no indication of what you are supposed to do next, or at least I couldn't find any. I was not getting frustrated looking. Every window must be closed with an X.
