You definitely won't find any cuddly puppies, fire breathing dragons or curious kittens in this game, just you alone in this creepy little town wondering if you are alive Are all these people dead? One item, present here, that I haven't seen much of in HO or mini-scenes are arrows that allow one to pan up or down, left or right, like one sees in some of the major scenes. Plus, all of the things that you have to do to progress through the world are fun to figure out, too. Extra feature - at end of game, you go back and find objects in 28 scenes. The sound emphasizes the whole story. WTG- It has an in game 47 page Strategy guide. Beautiful graphics. I want to get all the collectibles and awards, lol. And Morphs.


Payant Phantasmat: The Dread of Oakville Collectors Edition original

I find that those messages standard in a game like this make the game far too easy and not as much fun. As the Janes Hotel: Family Hero rages on through the gloomy night, a wayward traveler gets lost in the forest wilderness Drdad the American northeast and stumbles upon a seemingly deserted town of Oakville. I purchased the Collector's Edition of this game and after playing the entire game including the bonus chapter, I felt a little bit disappointed: The demo is definitely the cream of the crop and it leads you to believe that the entire game will be action packed and full of frightening, angry zombies, after all they do push you off the cliff for a true cliff hanger! The rest of the game is still really good, Editiin focuses more on the plot and less on the undead, in fact I think only a off were shown after the demo! WTG- It has an in game 47 page Collecrors guide. Not only can you play the mini games and the HOS over, but you can play the match 3 games that you could have played instead of the HOS over. One star for the voice overs and conversation which really breaks the monotony. The graphics are good, if a bit dark, but that is just the ambience. For all intent, this could have been a CE. These have been nice spooky titles, easy to see, fun to play, and a little more original than many on offer. There are FROG parts to assemble a hidden object like a seahorse. Nonetheless, nobody took her seriously and now the residents of Oakville are disappearing, only to return as the undead!

The Collectos play took me 1 hr. The CC edition was worth the money as it had a ton of new scenes to interact in. There are 7 chapters with the bonus play. I already own the Collectros. I liked everything about this game and really enjoyed it Amazing Adventures Riddle of the Two Knights much. That was a waste because they could have given us a nice jigsaw-like puzzle instead of just having it assemble itself when you click on it. Loved the interactive ending and the twist. Im taking off one star because the game was a bit shorter than I like. I figure, If you are reading reviews when both the SE and CE are out, you are wanting to know which to buy. This game is so good you won't stop. That, I loved! This game features Complex Plus Sign Inventory items, most of which have quick puzzles to solve, the Collector's Edition has Morphing Objects and Achievements to earn in addition. Scary at times you may be startled a few times if you are sensitive to ghost appearances , with masterfully crafted atmosphere, emotional music and original, but really not too hard puzzles. Something's just not right with these people, they don't seem to know people are searching for them, and what's wrong with their eyes, they're pitch black! It's no secret that the original Phantasmat is my all time favorite game, and this game is teetering for that pole position, because it's simply phenomenal! You were running late for a book signing when you find yourself trapped in the tiny town of Oakville.

You did not have to do any backtracking and each HOS was new every time. Well done. A home of the three industrious American families, the small area appears to be the momentary safe haven for the reasons which could hardly be described as natural — the rampant storm is the weakest within the town limits. I have too many other games I purchased I want to play next. I had a blast with this game and highly recommend it. The original Phantasmat is still my all time favorite game, no other game has yet to hold a candle to it's one of a kind storyline and unusual features with the best creep factor of all time. This game features Complex Plus Sign Inventory items, most of which have quick puzzles to solve, the Collector's Edition has Morphing Objects and Achievements to earn in addition. Mainly because of such beautiful scenery as you progress through! Nothing bad to say about it. This game is so good you won't stop. The game looks great and there's lots of interesting, fun puzzles I would rather find them as I play the game.

  1. These have been nice spooky titles, easy to see, fun to play, and a little more original than many on offer. I also love the lack of things on the screen, like inventory and all the menu buttons and stuff. In one you will try to find 5 related objects twice , like tools and chains, that lead into a new HO scene where the final reward object is eventually obtained. This game is so good you won't stop. This series continues with the 4th installment in the franchise and I loved it

I will not be going into detail about the story see "sunnyglow", "pennmom36", et al, for that , but will offer info about what I liked below.
