You arrive at the Stone Spires hotel and that is where your adventure begins. The backdrop happens to be mountains. Sometimes you would feel a chill come over you from your head to your toes. Now it's up to you with the occasional assistance of fellow Detective James to help save Steven the scientist. Most important for me is the setting for hint and skip times. The Mini Games are decent, some of which I haven't seen before, or at least they are a variation of an older puzzle. Haunted Hotel: Phoenix, has given the series a new set of fiery wings, and this edition is definitely proof that it's heading in the right direction! The voice-overs are truly well done. In a crossover nod to another series from this developer, you are a detective working with the renowned Mystery Trackers organization and have been called in to investigate the fires in Oregon. I did have some difficulty understanding some of them, but that's why they have the skip button. I don't really know how long it took to play, but it seemed like it was over before I expected it to be. I love a game that doesn't need to be a CE to be great. I highly recommend Haunted Hotel: Phoenix to anyone wanting to enjoy a good mystery. The authorities are not sure if the fires are the work of an arsonist or are perhaps caused by the legendary Phoenix of Oregon since witnesses report seeing bird shapes flying in the fires.

The story was interesting. In fact, it fit perfectly, the more I think about it. Infact the graphics were excellent! There are not very many HOG's, but the ones there are are good, and challenging enough to be satisfying. Most important for me is the setting for hint and skip times. There are several levels of play and you can chose which you like. The game has a great storyline that sucked me in and held my interest. What a great new spin on the Haunted Hotel series and if future games are this good, I say keep them coming. The first night started with me hanging a Ghostbusters sign on the lamp as a joke. I enjoyed the Mini Game where you have to turn several bumpers to help the tennis player score points by guiding the tennis ball past the player on the right. The finish is a wee bit corny but, somehow, this didn't bother me at all. When we would pan over to the room area, the picture was fine. I don't really know how long it took to play, but it seemed like it was over before I expected it to be. Date published: While my partner was using the restroom, I jokingly told him the ghost was in there according to our app. Overall, I loved this game. The computer generated graphics are crystal clear, and the characters are real people, features that give the player a sense of actually being part of the game instead of just watching the events take place. The famous Haunted Hotel franchise is back with a brand-new, thrilling installment! Your tools include a journal and an interactive transporter type map that are present at the beginning of the game. I had the music turned down so I can't really comment on it. I highly recommend Haunted Hotel: Phoenix to anyone wanting to enjoy a good mystery. The puzzles are a great mix of ones we've seen and some new ingenious and fun ones. Now it's up to you with the Pgoenix assistance of fellow Detective James to help save Steven the scientist. I don't know if the game was shorter than most Hqunted it was just so interesting that time flew. The backdrop happens to be mountains. The Phoenid in the bathroom was smoking and forming into a shape towards him Phoenixx the light flickered many colors. We didn't pull it. It showed ghosts in and out of our room. Haunted Hotel: Phoenix does this with its compelling, and twisted, plot coupled with fantastic graphics and ambient sound that make up Phoenix's fitting atmosphere that Haunted Hotel: Phoenix creators do a wonderful job of maintaining from start to finish. Casual gamers of all levels are sure to enjoy this edition.

You will find other maps as needed as you progress through the game but those are only for specific purposes. Another option this developer includes in its games is the option to either continue or reset the game when starting to play after exiting a previous gameplay session. The puzzles that were present were a mixed bag and the HOPS were fun to do, nice to look at and straight-forward word-lists, with one or two items requiring extra work.   1. Everything was clear and the colors very nice. I had heard this hotel was haunted. The game has a great storyline that sucked me in and held my interest. Brilliant story and hard to play.
