Not so exciting, but it's there. And Collectrs is the Strategy Guide if you need help. Sound is excellent, with the real impressive performance, also written in fine details. The HOPs were interesting and interactive and the puzzles gave you an 'easy' or 'hard' option. There is really nothing different with the HOPS and puzzles in the game except that they are all related in one way or another to Christmas. Until I played the game, Hidden Expedition: The Eternal Emperor thought the complaints meant that the helper made constant noises for the entire game, which is not the case. I happened to enjoy the HOPS but think that the storybook scenes were very easy. At first I thought there was a kitten stuck somewhere until I realized that the noise was coming from Toto who wanted my attention. Definitely the CE is the way to go. There are a plenty of scenes in different styles in the game, and all members of the family can play it for hours. The storyline is easy to follow and in the spirit of Christmas. The sound doesn't manage to match the top quality of the graphics, unfortunately. However this is a well crafted and charming story with a real Christmas feel and a well balanced progression that makes you want to turn the page. Having said that it is not without it's problems, and it is clearly a new company Learning the trade as there are some ropy production issues the cut-scene animations are, well, not very good and a few bugs that need a patch. The Christmas Spirit: Trouble in Oz has a terrific gameplay and an excellent storyline. Collectibles consist of finding 60 emeralds hidden throughout the main game AND bonus chapter, which allows you to buy hand blown xmas ornaments in the form of characters seen throughout the game, which decorate the xmas tree. Hmmm, maybe things would have been better if someone had thought to send her an invitation to the celebration.
