I play games to relax. However, the games does still continue and there is no time limit that I noticed. This game has 6 different rooms from Novice to GrandMaster with a total of different levels. You score points for each pair you remove, the faster you remove tiles the more points you receive. Tile Set, Background, Layout all of which you can choose individually in "Custom" mode or use the game's "Theme" option. This is fine with me since I am an average and maybe less than average player who is grateful when the timer is not a game breaker. I will still recommend Christmas Mahjong 2 as it's a sweet little game for the right person. They have to meet certain criteria which includes, but is not limited to, enjoyment of the game play, no timed games, a variety of tiles and layouts. You get to pick which layout you want for the tiles and you can choose timed or not. There are two other types of tiles that can be chosen instead of the Christmas tiles. All in keeping with the mood. Trying to uncover all the gold tiles in 'x' amount of moves I found frustrating.

The game does stay within the theme though, and you get a choice of 3 Christmas related tiles, interesting ones. Another winner in my book. I love Mahjong. This game delivers on that very well. You can always go back and redo a level layout if you got less than 3 stars. Some graphics too boring and hard to see when looking for matches. Good clean fun with speed the main factor. I personally love Mahjong but prefer having themed tiles and not standard Chinese. All in keeping with the mood. Give It A Whirl I Jar of Marbles II: Journey to the West demo with every intent on hating this game based on the 3 pix posted on it's product page… and ended up having to revise my prejudgement. You get this and more in this game. I think you will wish for it under your BF tree. You can always go Mahjong Christmas and redo a level layout if you got less than 3 stars. However, at the beginning of each level you are given a set of criteria to meet to receive up to 3 stars - such as collect "x" number of gold tiles you can't pass the level without collecting them all anyway so I found this rather moot , pass the level in "x" number of moves and I frankly don't remember the third. So, if you want a Mahjong game Mahhjong relax Mahjong Christmas if you want a challenge with friends or family during this holiday get this game. You can change your set up to exclude unwinnable layouts. The music is awful. Nice, Hospital Manager game playing. Since I never completed a game I have no idea if they always send you to the beginning, or if you are given a new layout. You score points for each pair Mad Mouse remove, the faster you remove tiles the more points Cjristmas receive. Maybe they'll come up with a better version next year? I think you will wish for it under your BF tree.

You get to pick which layout you want for the tiles and you can choose timed or not. There are plenty of backgrounds and layouts to choose from.

  2. I'm glad I did the demo first. Give It A Whirl I downloaded demo with every intent on hating this game based on the 3 pix posted on it's product page… and ended up having to revise my prejudgement. Let's just get that out of the way. What I like is that I am able to complete each game.

You must remove all gold tiles, score a specific amount of points and remove all gold tiles within a specific amount of moves or within a specific amount of time, allowing for a three gold star achievement on a perfect score. The tile sets were definitely all Christmas related didn't even have the classic tile set but the game play was strictly your typical Mahjong game with a twist. This game delivers on that very well. I say put in better music-then it's worth buying.

I am moving along just fine. You also get plenty of layouts and backgrounds to choose from. They'd have done better to have none than put the awful 'music' in.
