Melrose will also eventually gain the ability to craft a lot of unique weapons, armor, and other items to help her along the way. I suggest going to Valentown first. Go to the exit of the school. It will start working, and everyone in Valentown will be kind and loving again! Only some marionettes do this — most of them stay lifeless. To make matters worse, you don't get any money from boss battles. Once the skill tree is unlocked after you meet your first party member, you'll be able to pick and choose what new abilities you want to learn, as well as how you want to improve them. Go to the next area, and go north. The game was in development for three years, and Rose Portal Games clearly used that time to turn out a product that looks and feels distinct. Throughout the game you'll earn points that can be spent on a rather large skill tree to unlock new spells, skills, and upgrades.

The fighting is slightly different than most of these games, and though its nice to have some differences its not possible to make the fights as fast as some others. Maps are provided below for guiding you there — just follow the yellow line. Turn north when possible, go up the leader and through the doorway. Turn right and go through the doorway. The guard will move to the door. Go to the left and exit the computer library. Both areas are quite complex, so there are maps provided below. See the picture below for the order in which you must push the boulders to reach the switch at the top. Heal yourself and buy a lot of items. Stand on the shiny portal on the floor. Use the arrow keys to maneuver around the circular balcony. After picking them up, go back and head east. It will make returning here for the main quest much easier later on.

  3. When the Myriophobius starts flashing white, immediately use Defend as it is preparing for the Centi-Strike skill. On the one hand, the hand-drawn artwork and character sprites are a little simplistic. Eventually a girl enters and talks to the innkeeper. Whisper of a Rose might end up overlooked next to more "serious" titles, but that would be a shame.
